The Xerox Bussi contains 15 works of each artist, photocopied and bound to one book that references the original Xerox Book from 1969, published by Seth Siegelaub. Different from the original book, which has been printed conventional back then, the Xerox Bussi is completely "xeroxed".
The Xerox Bussi is available in an edition of 100 copies.

Wir schreiben das Jahr 1968.
Der amerikanische Kurator, Kunsthändler und Autor Seth
Siegelaub (1941 - 2013) publiziert eine Buchausstellung, die später unter dem
Namen The Xerox Book bekannt werden wird.
Er hatte dazu eine Gruppe von Künstlern eingeladen, 25
Arbeiten zu kreieren, welche dann wiederum „gexeroxed“ (fotokopiert) werden
sollten, um als Künstlerbuch präsentiert und vertrieben zu werden. Schnell wurde
jedoch klar, dass die Kosten der Auflage, sollte diese wirklich nur im
Fotokopierverfahren entstehen, ein finanzielles Desaster darstellen würden. So realisierte
man die Auflage von immerhin 1000 Exemplaren im Offsetdruck, betitelte das
Projekt jedoch weiterhin als The Xerox
Book.
Die teilnehmenden Künstler von damals sind: Carl Andre,
Robert Barry, Douglas Huebler, Joseph Kosuth, Sol LeWitt, Robert Morris und
Lawrence Weiner.
The Xerox Book ist inzwischen begehrtes Sammlerobjekt und nur noch schwer zu
bekommen. Eine online-Version des Buches ist jedoch auf der Webseite von Primary Information einzusehen. Die Organisation
stellt nebst anderen, raren Künstlerpublikationen auch nahezu alle Publikationen
Seth Siegelaubs als pdf zur Verfügung.

Philip Emde, (Tim), Julian Gorten und Marco Zumbé diese Idee auf und stellen
jeweils 15 Arbeiten zu einem Buch zusammen.
Konsequent von der Künstlerin und den Künstlern auf
selbstgewähltem Papier fotokopiert und handgefertigt von TBOOKS COLOGNE.

The Xerox Bussi
The year is 1968.
The American curator, art dealer and author Seth Siegelaub (1941 - 2013) is publishing a book exhibition that will later become known as The Xerox Book.
For this, he had invited a group of artists to create 25 works, which in turn would be "xeroxed" (photocopied) to be presented and distributed as an artist's book. It quickly became clear, however, that the cost of the edition, should it really only be photocopied, would represent a financial disaster. So the edition of 1000 copies was printed in offset, but the project was still called The Xerox Book.
The participating artists from that time are: Carl Andre, Robert Barry, Douglas Huebler, Joseph Kosuth, Sol LeWitt, Robert Morris and Lawrence Weiner.
The Xerox Book is now a coveted collector's item and difficult to obtain. However, an online version of the book can be viewed on the Primary Information website. Among other rare artists' publications, the organization also makes available nearly all of Seth Siegelaub's publications as pdf.

Präsentiert wurde das Buch am 28.04.2017 in Verbindung mit
einer Schaufensterinstallation bei
Vintage Emde
Bismarckstr. 56

Die Installation wurde mit schwarzweißen Fotokopien erstellt,
die in einer großformatigen und in den Raum wuchernden Wandcollage das Innere
des Ladengeschäfts Vintage Emde
abbilden. In der Mitte der Installation thront der Kopierer, - umkränzt vom
Heiligenschein der Videoinstallation, welche in einer Endlosschleife den Geburtsvorgang
des Xerox Bussi an die Wand wirft.
